Brian Lewis Young Artists Program


The BLYAP is a scholarship program for ten highly gifted violinists up to the age of eighteen. Participants receive intense daily private instruction with Brian Lewis on concerto repertoire and with additional outstanding faculty on sonata literature, technical studies, show pieces, solo Bach, and other unaccompanied repertoire. The festival culminates in performances with a symphony orchestra for each student. BLYAP is made possible through the generosity of the Dorothy Richard Starling Foundation.
BLYAP dates are June 8 – 19, 2020 on the campus of Ottawa University in Ottawa, Kansas.

The due date for auditions is March 15 with selection results by April 15.

Audition Requirements:

Movement of solo Bach
Movement of a standard concerto
Showpiece
Recommendation from the student’s teacher

Auditions should be sent by emailing video links (YouTube, Google Drive, DropBox, OneDrive, iCloud, etc.) to ottawasuzukistringsinc@gmail.com. Please email us if you have any questions about submitting audition videos.
