Welcome to the website for the Ottawa Suzuki Strings Institute, an ensemble of young violinists, violists, and cellists from two to twenty years of age. Their music study is directed by violinist Alice Joy Lewis and is based on the Talent Education approach of Dr. Shinichi Suzuki.

The Ottawa Suzuki Strings has just released a new CD “Ribbons and Bows” selections for Christmas. If you would like to purchase any of our CD’s you may do so by downloading this form and mailing it to the address below.

OSSI hosts two summer music events in Ottawa annually in June — a 10-day SOUND ENCOUNTERS program for advanced string players and a 5-day Suzuki Institute Mid-Southwest program. These programs draw registrants from across the United States as well as internationally. Concerts are open to the public without charge.
