OSSI hosts four summer music events in Ottawa annually in June/July — a 10-day SOUND ENCOUNTERS program for advanced string players, a 5-day Suzuki Institute Mid-Southwest program, a special Advanced Institute Student program (“The French Connection” in 2014), and the Brian Lewis Young Artist Program, a tuition-free auditioned opportunity for 12 highly gifted students up to age 18 to receive intensive daily private instruction and to perform. These programs draw registrants from across the United States as well as internationally. Concerts are open to the public without charge.
